It is so weird what apple juice can do to you. The smell and taste of it transport me back to 1st grade in Public School 177 in Brooklyn. The cafeteria is buzzing with children, there’s a gymnasium in the next hall. And all of a sudden, I feel safe again. Do you have memories like this, what causes them?
This has been one of the most trying times of my life. I go in and out of losing the will to move on, to carry forward. But last night I had a dream that I wanted to live in these brand new apartments that were just built in Coney Island. No such apartments were built, but in my dream they were floor to ceiling windows and you had a view of the ocean and beach below and that feeling of the beach and summer was so prevalent in the dream, it reminded me of happiness. I am hoping that reminder becomes reality. Please share your stories with me and maybe we can help one another. What are you going through? How do you deal with it?
What makes you smile and happy inside like you are a kid again? I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours!
Today is National Peanut Butter Day! Who knew? A truly American holiday! Nothing can make me happy like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Do you like them as much as I do? What is your favorite? Creamy or crunchy?
